St. Jacobs was our favourite.
So my love of fresh Ontario produce has not changed.
There is a little market at Hillcrest Mall in Richmond Hill I frequent often.
Wednesdays and Sundays.
So August 3, I went to the market.
Fresh peaches from Ontario. Cherries from BC that tasted like the ones I used to pick at my parents' house in West Kelowna. Tomatoes and celery from a farm in southern Ontario. Shabatura Produce-Windham Centre Ontario.
The booth with sausage, cold cuts and cheese always there every time I go.
So I bought some rosemary/garlic white cheddar cheese. So delicious to taste. Comes from a company in Barrie Ontario. Superior Cheese Ltd.
I had a peach with my yogurt. A handful of cherries- big and sweet. I made Bruschetta with the tomatoes, Enough for a couple of meals.
Tomato chopped, garlic chopped, oregano, fresh parsley from my back porch pot and some olive oil to taste.
I toasted my sour cough bread- two slices.
Fresh Ontario produce with a touch of British Columbia made for a healthy Sunday.
