I was thinking about the back porch garden Barb had me do last summer. So I told her I wanted heirloom tomatoes. There are many different types of tomatoes that can be grown in Canada. So Barb has already researched how to get them and maybe some seeds to start some plants earlier than May. Usually March is a good time for indoor seedlings. Actually Barb did most of the work last summer due to the heat. I do not like the heat. But if there are heirloom tomatoes then maybe I will try my hand. I will keep you posted about my progress. Today however there is a nice sauce simmering in the slow cooker. Some of those frozen tomatoes from last summer are being used. Granpa loves to eat!!
