GRANPA'S SOUPS SOOTHE THE SOUL FOR COLDER TIMES

 Adolph sure made some wonderful soups.

I find them hard to do.

I loved his veggie soup. It was a good one to take to work.

The wedding soup was so simple too.


But his baccala soup with just a touch of raisins made good by his mother was one of his favourites.



His Zuppa di pesce or Seafood soup was my favourite. And with some fresh bread or buns- DELICIOUS!!

PREPARING FOR A THANKSGIVING FEAST

 Buying all the ingredients happens over several weeks.

I used to buy a fresh turkey but now a frozen will do. 

Along with the Italian sausages and extra turkey thighs and legs there is enough meat.

Lots of appetizers, veggies and desserts round off the feast.


The flight into Fall cooking and eating.


So cleaning the dust bunnies from the house is a slow process too.
