A MEAL WITH THE GRANDCHILDREN AT AN AURORA DINER-WIMPYS

 March Break and Nana's wish to take grandkids out for lunch.

So they chose Wimpys in Aurora.

A small 50s style dinner.

Memories at the time on the wall with music from the Era.

Heh Nana it was good.

Too bad the juke box n the table did not work.

The meal was typical of a variety of diner food. Breakfast items with scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, bacon and toast; crepes with strawberries or my meal a crispy chicken sandwich with french fries. I had a coffee while the kids had milkshakes.

A fun little outing with an old fashioned flair.

I was just missing the flaired skirt and saddle shoes.

MARCH-TIME FOR SOME OUTDOOR BARBECUES

 I love steak.

So last Saturday, a barbecue steak at a daughter's house was great.

My son-in-law marinated the steaks then put them on the outdoor barbecue. He had to clear the snow around it as well as scrap the foot on top of the cover.

With some roasted potatoes, asparagus, salad and garlic bread, it was a wonderful Saturday night treat.
